Leopard imaging and valens cooperation design mipi a-phy camera module

Valens(NYSE :VLN), a global leader in high-speed connectivity solutions for the AV and automotive markets, and Leopard, a leader in the design and manufacture of embedded vision systems Imaging has announced A collaboration to design a camera module that will enable Oems and Tier 1 suppliers to significantly reduce time to market for their A-PHY-compliant systems.

The A-PHY standard for high-speed in-car video connectivity has been developing rapidly in the industry since it was released by the MIPI Alliance in September 2020. In 2021, the IEEE Standards Society made A-PHY one of its own standards, and major automotive companies have been planning to add it to their next-generation solutions. Today, A large number of Oems, tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers are evaluating Valens' A-PHY compliant VA7000 chipset for use in their Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) platforms.

As A partner with Valens, a leading supplier of automotive system-level chips, vision, ADAS and autonomous driving systems for Leopard Imaging machines will be committed to meeting A-PHY standards. The new product will further simplify the integration of the MIPI A-PHY and Valens VA7000 chipsets in cars and is the first finished A-PHY camera module on the market. The camera module contains an advanced automotive sensor, and Leopard Imaging will offer A module with an A-PHY unstring board that connects to a standard processor-based computing unit. The company plans to add additional sensors and drivers to support other processors to meet market demand, all of which are connected to Valens' VA7000 chipset.
