OV5640 camera module CMOS image sensor
Basic Overview
OV5640 is a CMOS image sensor designed by OV (OMNIVISION), which can output up to 5MP of images, with the highest resolution format of QSXVGA (2592×1944), DVP as the data interface, and SCCB as the control interface. It can output RGB565/RGB555/RGB444, YUV (422/420), YCbCr422 and JPEG formats, and can adjust the image in white balance, saturation, chroma, sharpness, Gamma curve, etc. Image resolution and frame rate are adjustable.
OV5640 supports LED fill light, MIPI (mobile industry processor interface, commonly used in mobile phone cameras) output interface and DVP (digital video parallel, this experiment uses this interface) output interface selection, ISP (image signal processing) and AFC (auto focus control) and other functions.
